Välkommen till SSG
Swedish Strategic Group (SSG) grundades 2009 och är en stabil och väletablerad ArmA-klan med mellan 20-30 aktiva spelare. I dagsläget fokuserar vi på Arma 3 men kommer i framtiden växla till Arma 4 eller Reforger om det senare får en funktionell editor för att bygga uppdrag. Vi är inriktade på taktisk realism men med ett fokus på att ha roligt tillsammans.
Vi är en “infanteriklan” - vi fokuserar först och främst på infanteriet. Vår klan är byggd utifrån skyttegruppen. Det är skyttegrupperna som ska lösa uppgifterna och vi bygger våra operationer utifrån detta fokus. De specialenheter dvs flygförband, spaningsgrupp och artilleri skall i första hand förstärka den totala upplevelsen för hela kompaniet och skall därför främst verka i samverkan med skyttegrupperna. Målet är att vi skall behöva samarbeta för att lösa uppgifter och har valt ett spelsätt som leder till att stärka denna punkt.
Varje söndag mellan klockan 18-22 spelas en operation som är byggt av vår uppdragsgrupp där briefing, intel och annat av intresse postas i forumet så att alla har en inblick i vilket motstånd vi kommer att möta.

Insurgent forces (FA/GA/AS):
Zombies... not sure what else to call them... People getting infected... family, friends and other loved ones... now turned to something else.... Red Star has been having their own issues with the infected but since most of the SCUDs where shot against positions kept by the Americans they have been able to suppress the infected in their area. Instead they have been focusing on securing the territory from our insurgent troops... There are not many of us left. We had to leave black Mountain and set up shop in a small house out in the woods. Our scouts have located a big force of red star soldiers closing in from the south east. We have to gather all our supplies and try to push out through the infected. Our commander just got in contact with the few remaining Americans and have gotten promises for them to exfiltrate us to their base. The LZ is marked...just hope they get there in time...
Objectives
Defend the base
Gather all supplies (medical and ammunition) and load them in the truck
Move through the lowland (marked on map) towards the LZ and try to keep alive until exfil.

My friends... We got reports that the Americans are closing in from the west towards our hometown of Severograd. After they have secured the airfield they will continue on advancing towards our small town. Their enemy, the Red Star is in panic mode and are trying to recruit all men in our village. There are now only a handful of us with previous military experience that has not been forcefully recruited into the Red Start army. I suspect though that its only a matter of time...
Our village elder has called for calm and not to engage in hostilities with the Red Star since they have been branding our townspeople traitors and executing them just for protesting against the recruitment.
Our old and shabby military commander Hassknatten, who has led us men from the village in previous wars. He has been in contact with the Americans that have confirmed they are trying to liberate the village in the next few days. Hassknatten says it is getting harder and harder to communicate with the Americans since the Red Star are jamming most of the communication.

Two factions has been at war with eachother for months, every week brings new attrocities and an escalation of violence to the region.
The rebels, who say they represent and fight for the freedom of the people, keep blowing up both civilian and military infrastructure causing massive economic damage and innocent casualties caught in the blasts.
The regions military has been on a set plan to drive these rebels out or destroy anyone and anything that remotely connects to them, by any means nessesary. This has caused alot of blodshed and many innocents has been killed.
The UN is in the region and has had a somewhat passive role, an intermidiatery to negotiate between the parties and accomplish a ceasefire to finally enable the region to stabilize and find a solution. The first step has been proven very difficult when the trust between parties is basicly non-existant.
The UN has for weeks worked with both parties and finally got them to agree to meet on the rebel side of the region, without weapons while having the UN as observers and peacekeepers as well as the local policeforce there to keep things...

The continent of Pandora is at war. After many years of peace, the country of WISLANIA has attacked ALTRAVERDO which is part of the Pandoran Defensive Treaty Organization (PDTO). The PDTO is a Defensive Military Alliance between the Countries of ALTRAVERDO (Germany), ASTARIA (Sweden), SERVERANIA (USA) and OBSIDIA (United Kingdom). WISLANIA also has an ally, which is SATAWAN.
Prior to the WISLANIAN aggression there were multiple diplomatic incidents, which lead to tensions between ALTRAVERDO and WISlANIA. During these tensions there have been many troop movements and exercises on the border of ALTRAVERDO by the WISLANIAN 1st and 2nd Army. In response the PDTO put their troops on high readiness. On the 22nd of October the WISLANIAN 1st Army crossed the border to ALTRAVERDO and the 2nd Army stepped into ASTARIA.
For the last week the PDTO Forces are stuck on defense. The PTDO have been fighting with delay tactics to lower the strength of the WISLANIAN forces. On the 30th the start of the counter offensive is planned to start....

SITREP:
Som en del av ett fredsbevarande uppdrag skickades svensk trupp för ett par dagar sedan till Virolahti, där främmande trupper tagit över makten. Väl på plats byggde vi upp två baser, F.O.B. Sisu och Camp Kalsarikännit. Sisu byggdes som huvudbas medan Kalsarikännit var en sekundär bas för träning och rekreation. Läget har hittills varit spänt men lugnt.
Vid spelstart har huvudbasen, F.O.B. Sisu för en stund sedan i princip totalförstörts av fientligt artilleri och de enda som verkar ha överlevt är vårt kompani, dock med lite begränsade resurser då huvuddelen av materielen fanns i Sisu. Vi befann oss på permission i Camp Kalsarikännit mitt i en trevlig filmkväll när Alpha Sierra meddelade vad som hänt och beordrade högsta stridsberedskap.
Fienden vet med största sannolikhet inte var vi befinner oss, eftersom de inte bombat oss ännu. Dock vet vi att de har flyttat fram flertalet luftvärnspjäser (Troligtvis Shilkas, men inte bekräftat) för att begränsa vår förmåga att röra oss fritt i området.
