The sky hung heavy over the sea as the squadron of four-man submarines, code-named Cerberus, silently cut through the waves. The cold waters felt like a thousand hands pulling at them, trying to drag them to an icy grave, but the men inside didn’t flinch. They were used to the pressure—the pressure of water, the pressure of war, the pressure of knowing their task was the difference between victory and defeat.
The war had been a brutal one, a grind that wore down even the strongest men. The enemy was well-equipped, ruthless, and relentless. They had fortified their positions with advanced air defense systems, and remote research facilities that threatened to turn the tide of the conflict in their favor. That’s where the platoon Alpha Sierra came in.
They had one shot at this. If they succeeded, the massive ground assault that was scheduled for the coming days could be launched without the risk of enemy airstrikes. If they failed, the army’s advance would be halted before it ever truly began.
The platoon has been supplied with most of the equipment they would need for their tasks. Behind, in front and above them were a small number of enabling units, specialized in each of their fields and tools. Air support was not going to be possible until the men on the ground had taken out the first anti air site. The site is remote and far behind enemy lines, the only feasable way of getting close enough to take it out, was to infiltrate through the canal leading in to the bay. If the anti-air site is taken out, and anyone is left alive. Their task is to continue forward to the research complex was a sprawling structure, hidden deep in the heart of enemy territory. It is an ambitious project, one that the enemy believed will turn the tide of the war by creating an army of autonomous drones.
The site contains data as well as prototypes of drones used by the enemy. Make sure to extract any and all data from these vehicles, we need to learn more on what the enemy is using. Then destroy it all.
The airfield is the heart of the enemy’s operations. Without it, their aerial superiority would be shattered. The team needs to plant charges on the main runway, air traffic control tower and if time allows, all fixed and rotary wing aircraft. This airfield has a high chance of officiers being present, keep a look out for one and if possible get any intel you can out of him.
