Last week our platoon successfully hit the strategic hill and fulfilled every task from HQ. Our platoon managed, through extreme effectiveness, push back all NVA troops in our area of operation. Even though we lost many good boys out there we can stand tall and proud.
Unfortunately, shortly after orders to return to FOB , we received worrying reports from FOB OUTCOME. 4th platoon at FOB OUTCOME, responsible for the northern area of operation, has been overun by NVA troops. INTEL and maps retrieved from escaped wounded soldiers of 4th platoon indicate that NVA is planning for an imminent massive attack.
It is also said that surviving US troops from the platoon has been taken to an execution camp. The location of this is unfortunately unknown at the moment. Now, being the last line of defense our platoon has received orders to stand our ground and fulfill any given orders from HQ untill reinforcements have arrived.
HQ OBJECTIVE 1 - PATROL AND SEARCH: Patrol by boat and secure the marked village in search for possible NVA recon activity and INTEL gathering. Strike back on back on any hostile evidence.
FOURTH PLATOON: Find and save as many men as possible from 4th platoon.
Weather: Foggy morning, estimated to clear by lunchtime. Some clouds and a light southerly breeze.
