GLOBAL SITUATION:
After months of civil riots in the Chernarus region a large part of the Chernarus Defense Force, allegedly with support from russian separatists, overthrew the pro-NATO government. Every soldier not involved in the coup was killed, released from duty or imprisoned by the new pro-russian military government. In spite of the not insignificant reduction in manpower, the CDF started preparations for the expansion of its area of influence in the neighboring states. NATO Command suspects an involvement of russian forces but that can't be confirmed at this time. At this moment the Kremlin denies every involvement of russian forces in the events in the Chernarus region. In response to the rising threat to the smaller NATO Members at the eastern border reinforced their defenses and prepared a large intervention force to counter any CDF aggression. The troops were activated a few weeks later, after an incident at the NATO-CDF border in which CDF forces opened fire on NATO forces, killing 35 latvian soldiers, advancing 4 kilometers into NATO territory and destroying a radar site before retreating back over the border.
Four days later the first official NATO soldier, part of the NATO Intervention Force, set foot on Chernarus soil to force the government to surrender and organize free democratic elections. With destroyed electrical-grid and interrupted communication and radar NATO captured a large part of the coastal region as well as the capital in a few days and destroyed the majority of armored forces. The remaining elements pulled back and set up command posts in old castles in the north.
SITUATION:
We expect one CDF battalion stretched across the north to guard the command post as well as the last remaining radar-sites in the coastal area. In addition, we think two more CDF battalion are currently guarding the main airfield in the north-west. We suspect one or two armored sections that escaped our initial attack pulled back.
We think the intention of the enemy is to delay our advance until ether reinforcements arrive at the airfield or to buy them time for an evacuation to regroup further inland for a counterattack. NATO Commands intentions are to open a second front and push the enemy back to the main airfield destroying the remaining armor and radar in the area in the process. After that, surrounding the remaining enemy forces on the airfield and counter any chance for retreat.
OBJECTIVE:
Open a second frontline by capturing the small airstrip in the northeast. After that, push west and secure the command posts. If you reach the main airfield in time, set up a defensive perimeter east of the Airfield. Watch out for incoming reinforcements. Stop any enemy attempt to pull out of the area.
OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:
For your task command assigned two A-10 Warthog call sign Warthog 1 and 2 to your operation. For reconnaissance and additional coordination of close air support you also have two recon-teams at your disposal. To move personnel and supplies the Air force has two choppers call sign Big-Bird 1 and 2 and one logistics-team on standby at Balota-Airfield.

The responsibility for this mission lies with US-SOCOM. The Company-command is tasked with the execution.
